We charge for the individual components of the assessment separately as the child may only require a couple of the assessments.

Each clinician will send a separate invoice for the specific assessment required. All payments should be made in advance of the assessment. All fees include the assessment administration itself, reporting writing, consultation and an hour feedback to discuss the results with the team and family (parents only if the child is younger than 16 years of age).

The fees are as follows:

• ADOS-II - £1000

• 3Di - £1000

• Cognitive assessment - £1500

Our consultants work across several locations. Typically, for convenience and because it works well, we complete all of the developmental interviews remotely via Zoom. This assessment typically requires 75-90 minutes to complete.

For the play-based assessments (ADOS-II), they are mainly carried out in our consulting rooms at 55 Queen Anne Street. This evaluation usually takes about an hour.

Finally, for the cognitive assessments, which we mostly administer face to face, we either see the child or young person at Harris International Private Patients, consulting rooms at The Child and Family Practice, or the child's home. This assessment requires about 3 hours in duration.

We are happy to provide invoices and receipts for all payments however, we do not accept payments from insurance companies directly.

Once the feedback session is complete you will receive a detailed report which will have been co-written by all of the clinicians involved in the child's assessment team. The report includes the child's developmental history, a review of previous assessments, information from school or college, concerns, details, and results of the evaluations used, formulation, and detailed recommendations. Should you require any additional sections to the report please advise in advance of the assessment. The reports are typically written for parents, young adults, and educators with clear language.

As standard, we always request detailed information from the child's school or college. We value this information and it is important in our conclusions and recommendations. Should additional consultation be required after the assessment and feedback, please let us know as this can be provided at additional cost (see fees above).

We see children across childhood, from toddler to early adulthood.

A key part of the assessment at any age is a developmental interview with parents. The results from both this assessment and individual assessment with the child will be taken into consideration in the diagnosis. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental condition and therefore we expect to see a pattern of behaviours across childhood.

We will make recommendations to support mental health as well as education. If a therapist is needed, we will make recommendations and put families in touch with appropriate therapists if possible.

If the results of the assessment are that a diagnosis is not appropriate, you will still receive a thorough report outlining areas of strength and weaknesses. These reports are always useful in highlighting areas of relative strength and weakness for a young person.

One of our consultants can arrange a 20 minute phone call with you free of charge if you are unsure if this is the right clinic or want to ask specific details. Please ask our administrator to arrange this for you at enquiry.

ADHD is not assessed automatically as part of the process and requires an additional assessment with a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (it is charged separately). If you know ADHD is something you want us to consider in addition to an autism assessment, please say so when you book (note - due to our capacity, ADHD assessments are only available to those seen by the team for an autism assessment). If after the other assessments we feel an ADHD assessment is relevant and would be helpful, we can arrange for this afterwards if this is something that you would like to follow up with (this incurs an extra fee).

We can make reasonable adjustments to the report or answer questions regarding the findings within a month of the team feedback session. After that we would need to charge for our time. An hourly rate will be charge for any request to provide written communication such as additional letters or additional reports to external bodies. Please contact Pari for further information.
